U Tokyo Liberal Arts Program

On September 24, 2013, Jiangsu Friendship Award Ceremony was held by People's Government of Jiangsu Province, and 16 individuals including Professor KARIMA Fumitoshi, Executive Director of LAP (Liberal Arts Program), received the Award.

Jiangsu Friendship Award is given to non-Chinese individuals who contributed to overseas interactions and development of Jiangsu Province in China, and Professor KARIMA was recommended for the Award by Nanjing University and the City of Nanjing.

LAP (Liberal Arts Program) in the International Division has hosted Liberal Arts Intensive Lecture Series in March every year. This is the 8th year of our project. LAP also hosts student exchange program both in Nanjing and Tokyo.

This Award is evidence that the achievement of our educational exchange as well as its model has been highly evaluated. While the Award was offered to an individual, it can also be said as an award for the Program itself.
