Management in Chinese Style: Its Changes and Searches

This year we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of exchange between Nanjing University and the University of Tokyo. As the first destination for UT's dissemination efforts of liberal arts education, the TODAI Liberal Arts Program (LAP) has been carrying out Intensive Lectures every year at Nanjing University. In addition, student exchange program began 2 years ago, furthering interactions between the two schools.
This year, in celebrating our 10 years of exchange, we will invite Vice President Yang Zhong from Nanjing University, who will give us a talk titled "Changes and Searches of Management in China." You are cordially invited for this opportunity to hear about a result of cutting-edge research in China.

I was born in September, 1963. I hold a Ph.D. in Management Science. I am currently Professor at the School of Management, Nanjing University and am also Adviser at its Ph.D. program, as well as serving as Vice President of the University.
I have studied at Harvard University, Yale University, etc. and majored in areas such as Organizational Behavioral Theory, Management of Multinational Corporations, and Administration of Higher Education. I have taught "Management Science" and other national brand courses. My books, among others, include Organizational Behavioral Theory: A View from Chinese Culture and A Study on the Mechanisms of the Monopoly of Joint Capitals by Multinational Corporations. I have also published over 80 articles on academic journals such as Administrative World and Economic Research. I have been in charge of a number of projects like "A Study on the Mechanisms of Movement, Sharing, and Innovation of Intellectual Properties within Multinational Corporations and Their Subsidiaries" with National Natural Science Foundation of China, "A Study on the Achievements of Research and Development Institutions by Multinational Corporations in China" with Jiangsu Science and Technology Agency. I have received awards and prizes including Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Prize from the Government of Jiangsu Province.
