These lectures are preliminary events for the Tokyo University Intensive Lecture Series that will take place at Nanjing University in March, 2011.The lectures will be held simultaneously in Tokyo and Nanjing, broadcasting them via teleconference system. We selected two themes of the Humanities and Sciences from the Intensive Lecture Series in March, each of the two lectures discussing "Memory and Record" so that students from the two schools can discuss and think together about these themes.
Participants of the Intensive Lecture Series in March are chosen from those who heard the Preliminary Lectures and handed in a paper on them. Students are welcome and urged to apply for the program, as anyone enrolled at Tokyo University can participate, regardless of her/his majoring in the humanities or sciences and her/his status as an undergraduate/graduate student. Auditors are welcome as well.
To find how to submit the paper, go to the page about sending student delegates.
